Building a tasting flight with equal portions
By hilling · · 1 minute
Use equal portions when you compare ginger drinks. Different amounts can make one sample feel more substantial or more intense before you have even considered the recipe.
Three small glasses and a tablespoon measure are enough. Label each glass, pour the same volume into all three, and serve them at a similar temperature. Keep plain water nearby and avoid adding different garnishes to each sample.
Write down the first flavor, texture, and finish. Then make a separate note about packaging or price if those matter to the purchase. Mixing those judgments too early can hide which drink you actually preferred. For a casual group version, see how to host a three-glass tasting.
