How to host a three-glass tasting

By hilling · · 1 minute

A three-glass tasting is enough to compare flavors without turning a casual visit into a long event. Use small equal pours, label the glasses, and keep plain water nearby.

Ask each person to answer three questions: what came first, what lingered, and which glass would they choose again? Let everyone write an answer before discussing it. Otherwise the first enthusiastic opinion can become the group's opinion surprisingly quickly.

Keep ingredient information available and let people skip a sample. There is no need to finish every pour. If you are testing variations of one drink, change only one ingredient between versions. The point is a useful preference, not a dramatic reaction video or a winner everyone is pressured to agree on.
