A ginger drink at brunch without a full bar

By hilling · · 1 minute

Offer one ginger-citrus base, plain sparkling water, and a bowl of orange slices for a simple brunch drink station. That is enough for people to make a small sip or a longer glass.

Put a suggested ratio beside the bottles: one part base to four parts sparkling water is a reasonable starting experiment, with adjustments for the strength of the drink. Keep refrigerated ingredients cold and replenish in small amounts.

Use ingredient labels and separate serving utensils. Guests should be able to make a choice without interviewing the host. You can make the station look inviting with clean glasses and a cloth napkin; it does not need six syrups and a complicated menu. Leave plain water just as easy to find as the more interesting option.
