A small drink ritual for the afternoon

By hilling · · 1 minute

An afternoon drink ritual can be as simple as stepping away from your screen, pouring a glass, and paying attention to the first sip. No promise about productivity is necessary.

Try a little ginger-citrus drink with still or sparkling water. Keep the glass small enough that you can adjust it easily if the ginger feels too strong. A slice of orange is optional, not a requirement for the break to count.

Choose the moment around your own schedule instead of borrowing someone else's ideal routine. If you want caffeine, check the ingredients of any tea or mixer you add; ginger does not define the whole drink. The useful part is making a choice you enjoy, then returning to the day without creating another list of obligations.
