Serving ginger drinks without pressure

By hilling · · 1 minute

Serve ginger drinks as an option, with enough information for people to decide. A tiny bottle can still contain ingredients or a flavor intensity someone does not want.

Offer a small pour, say what is in it, and leave room for a no. If someone prefers a diluted version, help them make one rather than treating it as a compromise. Stronger is not a social achievement.

At a gathering, place plain water nearby and keep the original labels available. Let the conversation move on after the choice. The most welcoming drink setup is not the one with the most enthusiastic pitch; it is the one where everyone can comfortably choose something they enjoy, including nothing from the tasting selection.
