Make the ingredient card before the party

By hilling · · 1 minute

Write the ingredient card while you still have the bottles and recipe in front of you. Reconstructing a mixed drink from memory after guests arrive is harder than it should be.

List the base drink and everything added to it, including sweeteners, tea, herbs, or dairy. If you used a branded mixer, retain its label so guests can check the details themselves. Avoid vague shorthand such as “natural stuff.”

Put the card beside the pitcher, where people choose their drink. A small legible note is better than a decorative tag nobody can read. If you change the recipe during the event, update the card too. The information should describe the glass being served, not the first version you planned yesterday.
