What mint adds to a ginger drink
By hilling · · 1 minute
Mint gives a ginger drink a fresh aroma before you even take a sip. You usually do not need a large handful to notice it.
For one glass, start with two clean leaves. Press them lightly with a spoon, add the drink, and taste. Crushing or blending a lot of mint can give a different, more leafy result, so choose the method around the texture you want.
A small sprig beside the rim is another option when you want aroma without leaf pieces in every sip. Keep the garnish proportionate to the glass. With orange and ginger already doing most of the work, mint can stay in the background. Our cucumber-mint ginger cooler uses that lighter approach.
