A cucumber-mint ginger cooler

By hilling · · 1 minute

For a cucumber-mint cooler, lightly press two clean mint leaves with three thin cucumber slices in a glass. Add one ounce of ginger-citrus drink and four ounces of cold still water. Stir, taste, and add ice if wanted.

Press gently rather than crushing everything into pulp. You are adding a little aroma and cucumber character, not making a thick green puree. If leaf pieces bother you, strain the drink into a fresh glass before serving.

Sparkling water can replace the still water, but add it last and avoid vigorous stirring. Keep extra ginger separate for anyone who wants a stronger version. This is an easy drink to offer at a table because people can adjust their own glass.
