A warm ginger-orange mug

By hilling · · 1 minute

For a warm ginger-orange drink, add one teaspoon of ginger juice and two tablespoons of orange juice to six ounces of comfortably warm water. Stir, then adjust the fruit or ginger a little at a time.

Use a heat-safe mug and let the water cool enough to drink comfortably. You are making a warm beverage, not trying to preserve a particular health benefit or prove that hotter is better.

A thin strip of washed orange peel can add aroma, but remove it if the flavor becomes too peel-heavy. If you start with a ginger-citrus shot, use a small amount in place of both juices and taste before adding more. The result should be pleasant to sip, with room for the orange to show up.
