Still water or sparkling water with ginger?

By hilling · · 1 minute

Still water lets you judge a ginger blend without bubbles. Sparkling water adds a different texture and can make the drink feel more lively. Neither choice is required for a good mix.

Use still water when you are working out a ratio for the first time. Once the concentration tastes right, try a second glass with the same amount of sparkling water. You will have a cleaner comparison than changing both the dilution and the bubbles at once.

Add sparkling water last, pour slowly, and stir once or twice. Do not shake it in a sealed bottle. A citrus-heavy mix can foam when it meets bubbles, so leave room at the top of the glass and add more only after the foam settles.
