Ginger lemonade for one glass

By hilling · · 1 minute

For a single glass of ginger lemonade, stir together one tablespoon of lemon juice, one teaspoon of ginger juice, and six ounces of cold water. Taste, then add a small amount of your preferred sweetener only if you want it.

Dissolve any thick sweetener in a little water first so it mixes evenly. Add ice after adjusting the flavor; otherwise melting ice can change the balance while you are still deciding.

This version lets you control the lemon and ginger separately. If you are using a ginger-citrus shot instead of plain ginger juice, start with less lemon because the base may already contain it. Finish with a lemon slice if you have one. A good lemonade does not need a crowded garnish.
