A cleaner way to pour from a small bottle

By hilling · · 1 minute

Pour from a small bottle slowly, with the receiving glass close enough to catch the stream. A narrow bottle opening and thick juice can make a fast pour less predictable than you expect.

Set the glass down instead of holding it in midair. Check that the cap is fully removed, then tip the bottle gradually. If the label calls for shaking, do that while the cap is still securely closed.

For a recipe that needs only part of the bottle, measure into a spoon or small jug first. It is easier to add an extra teaspoon than remove it from a finished drink. Wipe the bottle rim with a clean cloth before replacing the cap and following the storage instructions.
