What is a ginger shot?

A ginger shot is a small serving of a ginger-based drink. Some are mostly ginger; others use fruit juice, water, spices, or sweeteners to soften it. The bottle size alone tells you very little about the recipe.

If you are trying one for the first time, look at the ingredients before the claims on the front. Then take a small sip. You are looking for a flavor you enjoy, not a challenge to finish as quickly as possible.
