Orange juice or orange segments in a blender?
By hilling · · 1 minute
Orange juice gives you a simpler starting point for a smooth drink. Peeled orange segments add more of the fruit's texture, which you may want to strain afterward.
For a small blender batch, remove the peel, obvious seeds, and large strips of white pith. Add enough liquid for your blender to work properly rather than forcing dry pieces around the blades. Follow its capacity and operating instructions.
If you already have a juice you like, use that for the first recipe test. It keeps one variable steady while you work out the ginger and lemon. Later, try fresh segments and compare the texture. Both can make a pleasant drink, but they should not be expected to produce identical glasses.
