Orange-ginger fruit salad
By hilling · · 1 minute
Dress a small fruit bowl with two teaspoons of orange juice and a tiny pinch of finely grated ginger. Toss gently, then taste one piece of fruit before adding more dressing.
Use fruit that already tastes good on its own. The dressing is a light accent, not a fix for bland or damaged produce. Orange segments, berries, and sliced apple give you different textures without requiring a long shopping list.
Add delicate berries near the end so they do not get crushed while mixing. Keep the bowl refrigerated until serving. If you want to add mint, start with one finely sliced leaf and see whether it belongs. A fruit salad can become a jumble quickly when every possible garnish goes into the same bowl.
