A simple first-in, first-out bottle system

By hilling · · 1 minute

A first-in, first-out system puts older eligible bottles where you will reach them before newer ones. It works best when dates remain visible and you still check each label before drinking.

Use one row or tray instead of spreading small bottles across the fridge. When a new pack arrives, place it behind the existing bottles after checking the dates. Do not assume delivery order and date order always match.

Keep the arrangement easy enough for everyone in the household to follow. A small note on the tray is better than an elaborate system that nobody maintains. If a bottle is past its stated instructions or has an uncertain history, moving it to the front does not make it a good choice. Organization supports checking; it does not replace it.
