A recipe note you will actually use
By hilling · · 1 minute
A useful recipe note records amounts, method, and one thing you would change. It does not need a photograph, a spreadsheet, or a long tasting essay.
Write the quantities before cleaning up: orange juice in tablespoons, lemon in teaspoons, and ginger by the measure you actually used. Then add a short method note such as “grated and strained” or “blended, pulp left in.”
Finish with a decision. “Next time, half the lemon” is useful. “Good but different” is harder to act on. If you changed two things at once, say so rather than pretending you know which one helped. A small record turns a lucky glass into a recipe you can repeat, share, or improve without starting over.
