Orange-ginger yogurt sauce
By hilling · · 1 minute
Stir one teaspoon of orange juice and a small pinch of finely grated ginger into four tablespoons of plain yogurt. Taste before adding more juice so the sauce does not become thinner than you want.
For a savory version, add a little salt and a small amount of orange zest. For fruit, leave out the salt and let the yogurt and orange do the work. Keep the ginger subtle; it should not turn every spoonful into a surprise.
Spoon the sauce into a small dish rather than pouring it over everything at once. That lets people decide how much they want. Use a yogurt you already enjoy, since its flavor is still the base of the sauce, and refrigerate it until serving.
