How to use the recipes in this blog

By hilling · · 1 minute

Treat the recipes in this blog as small starting points for your own kitchen. They are not hilling's bottled formulas, validated shelf-life instructions, or a record of taste tests we claim to have performed.

Start with the stated amounts, taste a small portion, and adjust one thing at a time. Ingredient strength and equipment vary, so write down the version you enjoy. Keep storage questions separate from flavor experiments; a pleasant taste does not establish that a drink is safe.

We keep the notes short on purpose. When a factual label or storage point needs an external reference, the article links to it. If you want exact information about a packaged product, use that product's current label. A general recipe should never overrule the instructions for the bottle in your hand.
